Are you owed £2,000?

Have you had a loan or credit card from any of these organisations? Abbey, Alliance & Leicester, Barclays, Co-op, First Plus, Halifax, HSBC, Lloyds TSB, Natwest/RBS, Northern Rock or any other bank or lender?
If you did, there’s a good chance they also sold you payment protection insurance and you may not even have known it.

You may be due £000′s in compensation even if you no longer have the loan or card.

considering giving up my loan horse?

Filed Under: Blackhorse Loans    by: admin

I would like some advice from fellow horse people as my family and boyfriend aren’t horse people and don’t really understand my dilemma. Thanks.

I part loan a fab horse who I look after and ride 2 days during the week and 1 day on the weekend. He’s probably the best horse I’ve known, easy to do/handle/ride(altho typical arab he is occasionally fizzy).
Because I work full time I go straight from work on week days and now that the evenings are getting darker I’m feeling really depressed about going to the yard after work.

Its a nice friendly yard but I am usually one of the last to leave in the evenings. I didnt mind this in the light summer evenings but it feels really lonely and quite isolated when Im there on my own as the light fades. The yard owner does live next door but I don’t know her that well, and everyone else is there earlier than me so leave before me too.

Im dreading the winter as I do have a bit of SAD so find the dark evenings hard even without a horse to consider, especially when come october it will be pitch black when I leave the office at 5pm. Then I will have to drive 30mins to the yard where almost no-one will be still there. I wont want to ride in the dark as although they have an outdoor school with floodlights, I almost came off a horse before at spooked at some shadows. There will be no-one there to watch me ride and they probably won’t do lessons in the dark, I don’t particularly like the instructor anyways. I am a happy hacker and go out almost all of my 3 loan days, either down bridlepaths or woodlands. This will be a definate NO NO in winter!

Part of what makes me depressed is that I hate my job, and I would love a job that has earlier hours, but it is difficult to look and apply for jobs between working 40 hours a week, approx 10-12 hours a week with horse, plus seeing my boyfriend. My mum says I should give him up for the winter so that I can look for a better job, then go back to him in the spring or find another horse. I think that would make me feel like a quitter, real horse lovers don’t give up their horses for winter lol.

This time last year I had a different horse on FULL loan so would go up practically every day after work but he was on full livery so I didnt have to muck out, plus they had an indoor arena which was a godsend. I don’t remember feeling daunted by the dark and winter last year.

Has anyone been in a similar sort of situation? What should I do?

Sorry its a bit of an essay, Im just feeling really confused about it at the mo.

Where to go next with Black Horse Loan Fraud?

Filed Under: Blackhorse Loans    by: admin

I just wondered if anyone could help with the following:

A friend of mine (Alice) and her daughter Beth bought a house with Beths boyfriend, Charlie. A mortgage was taken out with the Bank of Ireland to buy the house.

Some months later it became apparent that Charlie had taken three loans from Black Horse amounting to £25,000. These loans were secured against the property. Charlie had forged the signatures of Alice and Beth in order to secure the loans, and neither of the ladies had any knowledge of this until Charlie defaulted on the payments.

The police were informed and an ‘investigation’ ensued, which revealed that an employee of Black Horse witnessed the forged signatures on THREE occasions. Charlie was cautioned and received a ’slap on the wrist’. No charges were brought against Black Horse or its employee, and the companys own investigation department declared that there was no case to answer.

Now, thats bad enough. But here is the real kick in the teeth. Although Charlie has relinquished any share in the house it is now more or less unsaleable, as there are now substantial charges against the property ( I should add that Charlie also pulled the same stunt with Welcome Finance, to the tune of £6000). Neither of the companies concerned will agree to the charges being removed.

As the loans were obtained through deceit and the companies in question clearly have some culpability in this matter, why should Alice and Beth then be persecuted? They both have been exonerated of any wrong doing, have good credit ratings and no criminal record. But they cannot sell the house as it stands. Legal advice they have taken has been pathetically inadequate, costly and misleading, and the ‘Financial Ombudsman’ gave no help at all and took two years to return the documents they were supplied with.

Can anyone advise?

Car Outstanding Finance?

Filed Under: Blackhorse Loans    by: admin

I bought a car last year using an unsecured loan from the Blackhorse. The loan was applied for by the company I bought the car off. My question is as the loan is unsecured am I free to sell the car and use the money to settle the loan as the car is not secured against it. However, as the loan was applied for by the company I bought the car from I am not sure whether or not the car will come back after a hpi check with outstanding finance. I wish to sell the car to settle the loan but understand I will be committing a criminal offence if I do so when finance is still owed on it. Where do I stand in terms of selling the car?

Getting a loan out to pay off car finance.. What to do?

Filed Under: Blackhorse Loans    by: admin

Hello,

I have no idea whatsoever what APR is, I have no idea about interest rates or loan types at all.
Obviously I am going to be researching all these things but if someone could give me a push in the right direction I would be really grateful.

I currently have a car on finance with Black Horse – I pay £213.44 per month not including my insurance. I have asked for a settlement figure which is (after this months payment) £8945.

I want to own the car obviously and want to sell it and buy a run around car as it will be cheaper.
I want to get a loan out and pay off the finance, and then sell the car to pay off the loan.

Seeing as I will not be getting the loan until I have a 100% buyer – my father owns a car garage and will arrange this for me. I will be paying the loan off quite quickly I would think.

Is it a loan or credit card? Flexible loan? Please help

Thanks .
